People told me not to put so much faith and trust into the Lions, even though they started the season 2-0. Older and wiser fans told me they've seen this sort of thing before and they always get their hearts broken. But I didn't listen. I invested my soul, my being, my everything into them winning on Sunday and they screwed me like a cheap date with a bag over my head.
I was in a FOUL mood on Sunday, needless to say. Later that evening, Becky and I decided we needed some light and frilly entertainment and went to see the new Amanda Bynes movie SYDNEY WHITE. It's a googy retelling of Snow White set with nerds in a fraternity and sorority environment. It's a loose sequel to the 2004 Hilary Duff movie A CINDERELLA STORY and I think I enjoyed this one even more. Bynes is great at playing the pretty tomboy girl while charming everyone around her. The seven dorks she lives with are great character actors and really add a nice dimension to the story. While the plot is predictable, it's funny and full of feel good moments and a wondeful lesson is learned at the end. Normally this sort of thing was be too sappy for me but it was just what we needed last night.

I'm glad I'm not the only bozo who watches movies like this.
